Cheng Huang

  • Cultural education is the concept of college English culture teaching, and college English teaching is an effective way toimplement the concept of cultural education. At present, there are still many problems in college English teaching, such asthe lack of cultural education, single teaching objectives, lack of teaching strategies and imperfect evaluation system. Inview of these problems, this article puts forward the research on the reform of college English education inspired by thecultural differences between China and the United States. First, this study was carried out to understand the differencesbetween Chinese and American cultures and clarify the current situation of college English education. Then, the matrix-valued factor model is constructed to identify the feature vector of cultural differences, decompose the features of culturaldifferences, obtain the feature vector corresponding to the maximum feature value and predict the covariance matrix. Themodel effectively reduces the matrix dimension, greatly reduces the number of expected parameters, effectively preventsthe accumulation of estimation errors and further clarifies the dependence between covariance matrix elements throughcoefficient analysis. Finally, the VaR identification model can predict the development trend of college English educationreform. The experimental results show that this method can effectively improve college students’ English performance andteachers’ teaching quality and has wide applicability
