    En este artículo se interpreta la evolución del patrimonio territorial en torno al Real Alcázar como base para una caracterización de su paisaje extramuros. Con respecto a la metodología, la revisión de una selección de mapas históricos entre 1572 y 1890 se concentra, en primer lugar, en la detección e identificación del patrimonio territorial en torno al alcázar de Sevilla. El análisis comparativo y la revisión sistemática de literatura científica es la base para una interpretación posterior de las transformaciones sufridas por este patrimonio territorial que, en nuestra opinión, caracterizan el paisaje del área de estudio. La selección de mapas, planos y dibujos históricos busca ser ilustrativa de los cambios acontecidos en el patrimonio territorial y demostrar la necesidad de recurrir a distintas escalas para comprender las implicaciones urbanas de las operaciones desarrolladas a nivel territorial, y viceversa.

    Cet article interprète l'évolution du patrimoine territorial autour du Real Alcázar de Séville comme base pour une caractérisation de son paysage hors les murs. La méthodologie utilisée consiste à examiner une sélection de cartes historiques datant de 1572 à 1890 et à se concentrer, en premier lieu, sur la détection et l'identification du patrimoine territorial autour de l'Alcazar. L'analyse comparative et la revue systématique de la littérature scientifique constituent la base d'une interprétation ultérieure des transformations subies par ce patrimoine territorial qui, à notre avis, caractérisent le paysage de la zone d'étude. La sélection de cartes, plans et dessins historiques vise à illustrer les changements intervenus dans le patrimoine territorial et à démontrer la nécessité de recourir à différentes échelles pour comprendre les implications urbaines des opérations développées au niveau territorial, et vice versa.

    This article interprets the evolution of the territorial heritage around the Real Alcázar of Seville as the basis for a characterisation of its extra-mural landscape. With respect to the methodology, the review of a selection of historical maps between 1572 and 1890 concentrates, firstly, on the detection and identification of the territorial heritage around the fortress. The comparative analysis and the systematic review of scientific literature is the basis for interpreting the territorial heritage transformations that, in our opinion, characterise the landscape in the area of study. The selection of historical maps, plans and drawings is intended to illustrate the changes that have occurred in the territorial heritage and to demonstrate the need to use different scales to understand the urban implications of the operations developed at the territorial level, and vice versa.
