Resumen de El concepto de revolución y liberación en el pensamiento de Leonardo Boff, 1980-2000

Durante el periodo de la Guerra Fría, el movimiento de la Teología de la Liberación en América Latina se convirtió en una de las expresiones más importantes de los movimientos populares, inspirados por un lado en el cristianismo primitivo, y por otra parte en las luchas del marxismo. A través de esa articulación lograron construir toda una corriente de pensamiento en la región. Este trabajo investiga algunos conceptos claves de uno de los principales exponentes de este movimiento: Leonardo Boff. En esa línea, la investigación parte de elementos teóricos de la historia conceptual para aproximarnos al significado que tuvo para Boff el concepto de revolución y luego el término de liberación entre 1980 y el 2000 con el objetivo de visualizar los cambios de significado y tratamiento de temas que tuvo para el autor la ruptura histórica que se desarrolla entre la década de los ochenta y los años noventa.

During the Cold War period, the Liberation Theology movement in Latin America became one of the most important expressions of popular movements inspired on the one hand by primitive Christianity, and on the other hand by the struggles of Marxism. Through this articulation they managed to build a whole school of thought in the region. This paper investigates some key concepts of one of the main exponents of this movement: Leonardo Boff. In this line, the research starts from theoretical elements of conceptual history to approach the meaning that the concept of revolution had for Boff and then the term of liberation between 1980 and 2000 with the aim of visualizing the changes in meaning and treatment of themes that the historical break that took place between the eighties and the nineties had for the author.
