  En este breve ensayo se pretende abordar el tema de globalización e integración desde la identidad cultural y la construcción de la misma, retomando la perspectiva latinoamericanista de José Martí, para aterrizar a los desafíos más puntuales del proyecto integracionista frente a la globalidad. Se ha considerado útil abordar la identidad como categoría de estudio, porque no se puede hablar de integración, sin primero encontrar o analizar la identidad cultural de una región, para ello se ha tomado como apoyo la teoría de hibridación cultural propuesta por García Canclini. Por otro lado, se abarca una perspectiva más filosófica para ubicar la realidad del latinoamericano desde el pensamiento de Dussel.

  This brief essay aims to address the issue of globalization and integration from the cultural identity and its construction, taking up José Martí's Latin American perspective, to land the most specific challenges of the integrationist project in the face of globality. It has been considered useful to retake identity as a category of study, because one cannot speak of integration, without first finding or analyzing the cultural identity of a region, for this purpose the theory of cultural hybridization proposed by García Canclini has been taken as support. On the other hand, a more philosophical perspective is included to locate the reality of the Latin American from Dussel's thought.
