  • Resumen
    • Although “open systems” treatments of persuasion have emphasized mechanical assumptions, an “Organic Systems” paradigm provides more viable conceptions of human influence, conflict, and human relationships. This paper explicates that paradigm, suggests a critical framework, and illustrates it with an analysis of the John Birch Society's rhetorical evolution from 1958–66.
