Resumen de Motivación académica y madurez vocacional en estudiantes universitarios

La elección de los estudios universitarios se ha convertido en una decisión de gran trascendencia para la autorrealización profesional y personal del individuo. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar la asociación que existe entre motivación académica y madurez vocacional en estudiantes de primer y quinto año de estudios. Para la metodología se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel descriptivo comparativo y correlacional. Con una muestra de 190 estudiantes universitarios. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó los instrumentos: Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire, y el cuestionario de madurez vocacional. Obteniendo como resultado, que la motivación académica se relaciona significativamente con la madurez vocacional. Asimismo, los estudiantes del quinto año de estudios presentan mayor nivel de motivación académica y madurez vocacional en comparación con los estudiantes del primer año. De esta manera se evidenció que, si los estudiantes presentan mayor compromiso y un alto interés activo para cumplir con sus tareas académicas, también se incrementa la capacidad vocacional.

The choice of university studies has become a decision of great importance for the individual's professional and personal self realisation. The aim of this study was to identify the association between academic motivation and vocational maturity in first and fifth year students. The methodology used was quantitative, descriptive, comparative, and correlational. With a sample of 190 university students. The following instruments were used to collect the information: Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire, and the vocational maturity questionnaire. The results showed that academic motivation was significantly related to vocational ma-turity. Likewise, students in the fifth year of studies have a higher level of academic motivation and vocational maturity compared to students in the first year. Thus, it became evident that, if students show greater commit ment and a high active interest in fulfilling their academic tasks, vocational ability also increases
