Estudio descriptivo de los registros de títulos de la Educación Superior en Paraguay, corte longitudinal 2012 al 2020

    El presente trabajo fue un estudio de tipo no experimental, de nivel descriptivo, de corte longitudinal, de enfoque cuantitativo; y tuvo por objetivo describir la composición de la fuerza profesional del Paraguay a través de la utilización de datos oficiales dispuestos en el portal del organismo encargado de administrar la educación en el país. En la investigación se analizaron los datos discriminándolos por año, sexo, categorías de carreras, años de inscripción, nivel de la certificación y otros datos como el tipo de instituciones que emitieron los respectivos certificados. La base de datos estuvo compuesta por 327.714 registros de todos los títulos registrados desde el 2012 al 2021 en 330 instituciones de educación entre las que se encuentran: instituciones de educación superior, institutos técnicos y otros. Entre los resultados a resaltar se observó que las mujeres presentaron una tasa de registro de títulos superior a la de los varones; la tasa más alta de títulos inscriptos correspondió a carreras relacionadas a la salud y educación, donde eran mayoría las mujeres, las ingenierías y las ciencias, dos áreas sumamente estratégicas y de altas remuneraciones, presentaron tasas muy bajas de titulación y que estas carreras no eran de preferencia de las mujeres contribuyendo negativamente a la equidad de ingresos laborales.

    The present work was a non-experimental study, descriptive level, longitudinal cut, quantitative approach; the objective was to describe the composition of the professional force in Paraguay through the use of official data available on the portal of the agency in charge of administering education in the country. In the research, the data was analyzed discriminating them by year, sex, career categories, years of enrollment, level of certification and other data such as the type of institutions that issued the respective certificates. The database consisted of 327,714 records of all the degrees registered from 2012 to 2021 in 330 educational institutions, among which are: higher education institutions, technical institutes and others. Among the results to be highlighted, it was observed that women had a higher degree registration rate than men; The highest rate of registered degrees corresponded to careers related to health and education, where women, engineering and science were the majority, two highly strategic and high-paying areas, they presented very low rates of graduation and that these careers were not preferably of women contributing negatively to the equity of labor income.
