    Este artículo explora la representación del hogar en los textos de memorias La distancia entre nosotros (2012) y La búsqueda de un sueño (2018) de Reyna Grande, primeramente publicados en inglés como The Distance Between Us (2012) y A Dream Called Home (2018), respectivamente.[1] Se considera la noción del hogar como lugar de intimidad y protección, así como el giro que dicho concepto toma para la protagonista como sujeto migrante. Así también, se examina la reterritorialización cultural de la autora mexicana en EE. UU. y la reconstrucción y reencuentro del hogar a través de una escritura de resistencia. Tres planteamientos teóricos enmarcan dicha representación: La poética del espacio (1975) de Gaston Bachelard, “Home and Away” (1999) de Sara Ahmed y Mil mesetas. Capitalismo y esquizofrenia de Gilles Deleuze y Félix Guattari (2002). Dichos procesos atraviesan y definen la experiencia migratoria de la protagonista y el ejercicio de su escritura.

    This article explores the representation of home in the memoirs La distancia entre nosotros (2012) and La búsqueda de un sueño (2018) by Reyna Grande, published first in English as The Distance Between Us (2012) and A Dream Called Home (2018), respectively. We study the notion of home as a place of intimacy and protection as well as the turn of this concept for the protagonist as a migrant subject. This work also examines the cultural reterritorialization of this Mexican author in the United States and the reconstruction and re-encounter of home through a writing of resistance. Three theoretical approaches frame the representation of home: The Poetics of Space (1975) by Gaston Bachelard, “Home and away” (1999) by Sara Ahmed, A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia (2002) by Gilles Deleuze y Félix Guattari. These processes define the protagonist’s migrant experience as well as her writing exercise.
