Resumen de La cuestión de la técnica y la crisis ecológica.: ¿hay una vía de salida?

  Durante el siglo XX varios pensadores se preguntaron acerca de la excesiva confianza que la humanidad tenía en la tecnología para resolver cualquier problema. Sobre todo, al haber sido testigos de las atrocidades que se cometieron en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, estos filósofos aportaron diversas reflexiones y críticas acerca del valor y el uso que hacemos de la técnica. Ahora bien, el día de hoy, la actual crisis ecológica exige cuestionarnos acerca de las consecuencias que un mal uso tecnológico puede provocar en el planeta y en el ser humano. En ese sentido, las advertencias que realizaron figuras como C.S. Lewis, Max Horkheimer y Martin Heidegger ayudan a realizar ciertas preguntas que dan cuenta acerca de las paradojas que se derivan del progreso tecnológico. No obstante, si bien las reflexiones del siglo pasado son necesarias e importantes, no son suficientes. En este momento, se requieren nuevas preguntas que ayuden a comprender el actual contexto y sus problemas tecnológicos. Solo entonces se podrá saber qué es posible hacer con la crisis ecológica de este tiempo.

  During the twentieth century, several thinkers wondered about the excessive confidence that humanity had in technology to solve any problem. Above all, having witnessed the atrocities that were committed in the Second World War, these philosophers contributed with various reflections and criticisms about the value and use we make of technique. However, today, the actual ecological crisis requires to question ourselves about the consequences that a misuse of technology can cause on the planet and on the human being. In that sense, the warnings made by figures such as C.S. Lewis, Max Horkheimer and Martin Heidegger help to ask certain questions that derive from technological progress. Although, while the reflection of the last century are necessary and important, they are not enough. In this moment, new questions are required that help comprehend the actual context and its technological problems. Only then can be known what can be possible done with the ecological crisis of this time.
