Sistema tonal vs sistema atonal: Reflejo del pensamiento filosófico

    El presente artículo tiene como  objetivo comparar el sistema de música tonal con el sistema de música atonal, y entender cómo el cambio en las ideas filosóficas a partir del siglo XIX se ve reflejado en el modo de entender y escribir  la música contemporánea. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se comenzará por definir tanto lo que es la tonalidad como la atonalidad. Además, se realizará un breve análisis de los cambios estéticos y la manera de ver el mundo a partir de las nuevas ideas filosóficas basadas en el racionalismo, el positivismo y el subjetivismo.  Encontraremos así la relación de los conceptos de “Libertad”, “Belleza” y “Mensaje” que, a partir de los acontecimientos históricos y los cambios de mentalidad, se transmiten a través del arte, concretamente de la música.

    The objective of this article is to compare the tonal and atonal music systems, and understand how the change in the philosophical ideas from the nineteenth century on is reflected in the way of understanding and writing contemporary music.  To reach this goal we will define tonality and atonality. Additionally we will analyze the aesthetic changes and the transformation of the worldview through the new ideas based on rationalism, positivism and subjectivism. We will find the relationship between the concepts of liberty, beauty and message that are transmitted through art, specifically by the means of music, throughout historical events and ideological changes.
