  • The speech analyzes the national and supranational reference standards that are applied in the rescue of migrants at sea. It has highlighted the inconsistencies of the “push back” operations and the “closed ports” policy adopted by Governments in recent years are highlighted, given that the process of criminalization of migrants and NGOs involved in rescue operations has been counterbalanced by a system of antibodies offered by our legal system through the justification defences
