Resumen de Política linguística: uma análise descritivo-reflexiva sobre sentidos para língua presentes em documento regulador da UFFS

  This paper analyzes the meanings of language emerging from Resolution No. 11/CONSUNI/UFFS/2018 (UFFS, 2018), a document which legitimizes the measures implemented by the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), whose theme is the language policy of that institution. Thus, we disseminated language policy as a topic of discussion from the discourse analysis’ viewpoint. To do so, we chose three discursive samples, specifically aiming to think about the UFFS language policy with regards to the socio-educational and normative function as well as to understand the discourse that sustains the emerging meanings for language from its language planning. This is a theoretical-interpretive documental study, from a qualitative perspective in descriptive-analytical development, by means of which theory and analysis are completed through a pendular movement on discussing the subject. This discussion is tensioned by the theory of Michel Pêcheux and the postulates of Eni Orlandi. The task of analysis indicates that languages become known as valuable with regards to sociocultural context when they are signified in the axes of national approach and internationalization, which results from a work with language, preluding historical and social components in the discursive formation of this document. Therefore, we conclude that the crossings that underlie the understanding of language ascribe meaning to the discourse conveyed by the Resolution analyzed, guiding the actions of the University.

  Este artigo analisa sentidos para língua que emergem da Resolução Nº11/CONSUNI/UFFS/2018 (UFFS, 2018), documento que dá legitimidade às ações implementadas pela Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul – UFFS, cuja temática é a política linguística dessa instituição. Assim, difundimos política linguística como tema de discussão sob o ponto de vista da análise de discurso. Para tanto, elegemos três recortes discursivos, objetivando, especificamente, pensar a política linguística da UFFS no que diz respeito à função socioeducativa e normativa e compreender o discurso que sustenta os sentidos para língua emergidos do seu planejamento linguístico. Trata-se de um estudo documental teórico-interpretativo, a partir de uma perspectiva qualitativa de desenvolvimento descritivo-analítica, em que, pelo movimento pendular, teoria e análise se completam na discussão do tema proposto. Essa discussão vem tensionada pela teoria de Michel Pêcheux e pelos postulados de Eni Orlandi. O gesto de análise indica que o termo língua aparece valorizado no que diz respeito ao contexto sociocultural, quando significado nos eixos de abordagem nacional e de internacionalização, resultantes de um trabalho com a linguagem, por preluzir o histórico e o social na formação discursiva desse documento. Assim, compreendemos que os atravessamentos que perpassam o entendimento de língua significam o discurso veiculado pela Resolução analisada, direcionando as ações da Universidade.
