Tradicionalmente las llamadas fíbulas «aquiliformes» vienen siendo consideradas como uno de los elementos más característicos de la indumentaria visigoda. Aunque el número total de hallazgos es relativamente escaso, sobre todo fuera de la península, se trata sin duda de uno de los objetos más populares y llamativos de la moda de las poblaciones bárbaras.
Traditionally, the so-called “eagle-shape” brooches have been considered one of the most characteristic elements of Visigoth clothing. Although the total number of finds is relatively scarce, especially outside the Iberian Peninsula, definitely it is one of the most popular and colourful objects in the fashion of the Gothic populations.
