This paper presents the conclusions of the mapping of the digital music sector in Spain, ordering these intermediation processes as a contribution to the communication studies. Starting from the concept of diversity, and with a view from the political economy of communication and culture, it evaluates a key sector within the cultural industries and whose transformation is a reference, and antecedent, for other sectors.
