Aplicación del método Learning by doing dentro de la estrategia ECOE: una experiencia pedagógica

    Cada vez la práctica académica se vuelve más atractiva, rigurosa y productiva; el reto de la educación superior es formar individuos integrales, capaces de resolver problemas en la sociedad. Los pioneros de la escuela nueva han revolucionado las prácticas tradicionales de la educación superior, a tal punto que han convertido al estudiante en un ser activo y participativo, capaz de construir su propio aprendizaje. El campo de la Enfermería es tan complejo, que necesita una formación estricta con fundamentos científicos- prácticos, para recibir en sus manos la vida de la población demandante de servicios de salud con calidad y calidez humana, en búsqueda de estos resultados nos hemos propuesto como objetivo aplicar el método Learning by doing, dentro de la estrategia ECOE, para permitir el desarrollo de capacidades, mediante ensayo error antes de encontrarse con el paciente. La aplicación de estas estrategias, ha tenido un impacto positivo en el logro de competencias de los estudiantes de enfermería de segundo año de la FAREM-Chontales, de manera que fue satisfactorio, ya que los resultados muestran en promedio general 4.28, y según componente evaluado se ubica entre 4 y 4.8. El éxito de este resultado radica en el diseño de los instrumentos y la flexibilidad de la evaluación.

    Each time academic practice becomes more attractive, rigorous and productive; The challenge of higher education is to train well-rounded individuals capable of solving problems in society. The pioneers of the new school have revolutionized the traditional practices of higher education, to the point that they have turned the student into an active and participatory being, capable of constructing their own learning. The field of Nursing is so complex that it needs a strict training with scientific-practical foundations to receive in its hands the life of the population demanding health services with quality and human warmth, in search of these results we have set ourselves as an objective apply the Learning by doing method within the ECOE strategy, to allow the development of skills through trial and error before meeting the patient. The application of these strategies has had a positive impact on the achievement of competencies of the second-year nursing students of the FAREM-Chontales, so that it was satisfactory, since the results show a general average of 4.28, and according to the evaluated component, it is located between 4 and 4.8. The success of this result lies in the design of the instruments and the flexibility of the evaluation.
