Este artículo pretende dilucidar los mitos o tabúes en torno a Grisis siknis o locura selvática que aquejan a la población perteneciente a los pueblos originarios y afrodescendientes de la costa caribe nicaragüense en el caso particular de la etnia Mayangna habitantes del territorio Sauni As de la comunidad Alal. , Bonanza Costa Caribe Norte. UNANManagua, como parte de su compromiso social, se involucró en un proyecto de trabajo conjunto con cineastas chilenos que están realizando una investigación sobre las causas y efectos de Grisis siknis, lo que les permitirá posteriormente realizar un documental que exponga la situación de los habitantes que viven juntos. El trabajo recoge y consolida las diferentes actividades realizadas en la primera fase del proyecto incorporando valoraciones, comentarios y la percepción de sus habitantes como principales protagonistas de este fenómeno sociocultural. This article aims to elucidate the myths or taboos around Grisis siknis or jungle madness that afflict the population belonging to the native and Afrodescendant peoples of the Nicaraguan Caribbean coast in the particular case of the Mayangna ethnic group inhabitants of the Sauni As territory of the Alal community, Bonanza North Caribbean coast. UNANManagua, as part of its social commitment, became involved in a project working jointly with Chilean filmmakers who are carrying out an investigation into the causes and effects of Grisis siknis, which will allow them to subsequently make a documentary exposing the situation of the inhabitants living together.
