Resumen de La comunidad educativa escolar: : Una fortaleza del centro educativo

  La comunidad educativa escolar es una instancia de integración y participación de los grupos más representativos de la acción educativa en un centro escolar, como son: el director del centro, los docentes, los estudiantes, padres y madres de familia y personas de la comunidad, los cuales constituyen cinco sectores indispensables e invariables en el buen desarrollo de las funciones que realizan los centros educativos.

  La comunidad educativa se subdivide en niveles operativos. Es así como el Ministerio de Educación de Panamá, MEDUCA, la clasífica en Comunidad Educativa Regional y Comunidad Educativa Escolar, y en ambos casos la define como “organismo consultivo y de participación ad honorem”. Mediante fundamentación legal establece sus funciones y periodo de vigencia, así como la normativa para la selección y el perfil de sus integrantes.

  En este artículo, “La comunidad educativa escolar: una fortaleza del centro educativo”, se hace una explicación bastante detallada de este órgano, su nivel de importancia y su rol de soporte y apoyo al proceso educativo del centro escolar; además, se presentan algunas experiencias en otros países y los fundamentos, funciones y base legal de la comunidad educativa en Panamá.

  The school educational community is an example of integration and participation of the most outstanding groups in the educational activity in a school center: the principal, teachers, students, parents and the community people which constitute five indispensable and permanent sectors in the good development of the work the educational centers perform.

  The educational community is broken down into operational levels, according to the context, whether the most general or the most concrete context. The Ministry of Education (MEDUCA) classifies this into Regional Educational Community and School Educational Community and both are defined as Ad Honorem Consulting and Participating Organisms. Legal regulations establish their functions and terms, as well as the norms for the selection and profile of its members.

  This article, “The school Educational Community: A Strength of the school center”, presents a very detailed explanation of this entity, its level of importance and its role as support of the educational process in the school center. In addition, this paper presents some of the experiences in other countries are along with the regulations, functions, and legal foundations in Panamá.
