Se muestra una visión del caminar de la Mesta junto a Extremadura a través de los siglos, y la influencia y beneficios de esa simbiosis entre extreme- ños y trashumantes sorianos que se asentaron en estas tierras como pioneros de su repoblación y contribuyeron a la configuración del espacio geopolítico de Extremadura. Al mismo tiempo, se presentan a personajes de Castilla que tuvieron una importante relación con Extremadura a través del Honrado Concejo de la Mesta.

A view about the relationship of the Mesta and the region of Extremadura over the centuries is presented in this article. There is a strong influence and symbiosis between Extremadura and the Sorian transhumant herders who settled in this land pioneering the repopulation process and contributing to the configuration of the geopolitical space of Extremadura. We also show some Castilian characters who had a special relationship with Extremadura through the Honest Council of the Mesta
