Este estudio comenzó con varios objetivos: primero, distinguir las formas más frecuentes en que se manifiesta la violencia verbal y analizar las diferencias en la perspectiva de sus manifestaciones en relación con el género; segundo, determinar el nivel en que los estudiantes de las instituciones educativas de Santo Domingo perciben la violencia verbal, para reflexionar en la comunidad educativa sobre el problema en cuestión. Para ello, se aplicó una encuesta a 64 estudiantes de secundaria pertenecientes a 2 centros educativos, seleccionados por muestreo aleatorio simple. En los resultados, los insultos y los chismes se consideran manifestaciones frecuentes según los estudiantes, y se observó una relación entre la perspectiva de algunas manifestaciones en comparación con la variable de género. En conclusión, ofrece una visión general de las consecuencias que podría conllevar el uso frecuente de la violencia verbal y las medidas a considerar para reducirla.
This study began with several objectives: first, to distinguish the most frequent ways in which verbal violence manifests itself and to analyze the differences in the perspective of its manifestations in relation to gender; second, to determine the level in which the students of the educational institutions of Santo Domingo perceive the verbal violence, to reflect in the educational community on the problem in question. For this, a survey was applied to 64 secondary students belonging to 2 educational centers, selected by simple random sampling. In the results, insults and gossip are considered frequent manifestations according to the students, and a relationship was observed between the perspective of some manifestations compared to the gender variable. In conclusion, it offers an overview of the consequences that the frequent use of verbal violence could entail and the measures to consider to reduce it.
