  La intervención del trabajador social en familias disfuncionales ha logrado crear conciencia de la importancia que tiene la familia en una sociedad y como ha influido de manera negativa sino se tiene una comunicación oportuna y positiva entre sus miembros, siendo importante mediar en las causas de disfuncionalidad en las familias, explicando las situaciones por las que estas se ven inmersas para que se den situaciones que afectarían al equilibrio que debería tener la familia, influyendo en un mejor funcionamiento como sistema, tomando en cuenta la opinión tanto individual como colectiva, con el fin de tener una visión más amplia de la problemática que se presente. A partir de este escenario el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar la intervención del trabajador social como mediador en familias disfuncionales, los métodos utilizados en el proceso de esta investigación realizada fue la sistematización, y otros métodos teóricos tales como el análisis, síntesis y bibliográfico de la literatura referida al tema ayudando a identificar el desafío que posee el trabajador social en familias disfuncionales.

  The intervention of the social worker in dysfunctional families has managed to create awareness of the importance that the family has in a society and how it has influenced in a negative way if there is a timely and positive communication among its members, being important to mediate the causes of dysfunction in families, explaining the situations by which they are immersed so that situations that affect the balance that should have the family, influencing a better functioning as a system, taking into account both individual and collective opinion, in order to have a broader view of the problems that arise. From this scenario, the present work aimed to identify the intervention of the social worker as a mediator in dysfunctional families, the method used in the process of this research was systematization, and other theoretical methods such as analysis, synthesis and bibliography. the literature referred to the subject helping to identify the challenge that the social worker has in dysfunctional families.
