Apoyo familiar en la recuperación de la salud de pacientes adultos mayores con secuelas de ECV (evento cerebro vascular)

    La enfermedad vascular cerebral (EVC) constituye un problema de salud mundial con tendencia creciente. Según datos de la OMS, la EVC es una importante causa de discapacidad y afectación de calidad de vida, su espectro de afectaciones es muy amplio. Un accidente cerebrovascular sucede cuando el suministro de sangre al cerebro se ve interrumpido. Si tu cerebro no recibe suficiente sangre que le provea el oxígeno y los nutrientes que necesita, las células del cerebro se dañarán o morirán. Esta enfermedad tiene, también, un enorme costo, por los recursos necesarios en el sistema de salud para su atención en la fase aguda, además de los cuidados a largo plazo de los sobrevivientes con sus consecuentes implicaciones sociales. A partir de este escenario el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo demostrar mediante una entrevista estructurada como influye el apoyo familiar en la recuperación de la salud de pacientes adultos mayores con secuelas de ECV (Evento Cerebro Vascular) atendidos en el IESS Chone.

    La investigación fue realizada a partir de la sistematización y otros métodos teóricos tales como el análisis y la síntesis de la literatura referida al tema, así como la técnica de la entrevista estructurada, la guía de entrevista, el instrumento del diario de campo y el método estadístico permitió responder al objetivo de esta investigación. Mediante la entrevista aplicada a los pacientes se conoció que la rehabilitación que genera la familia contribuye en los pacientes a reducir su dependencia de las personas encargadas de su cuidado y mejorar su capacidad física.

    Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) is a global health problem with an increasing trend. According to WHO data, the EVC is an important cause of disability and affects quality of life, its spectrum of affectations is very broad. A stroke happens when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted. If your brain does not receive enough blood to provide it with the oxygen and nutrients it needs, brain cells will be damaged or killed. This disease also has a huge cost, due to the necessary resources in the health system for its attention in the acute phase, in addition to the long-term care of the survivors with their consequent social implications. From this scenario, the present work aims to demonstrate through a structured interview how family support influences the recovery of health of elderly patients with sequelae of CVD (Vascular Brain Event) attended in the IESS Chone. The research was carried out from the systematization and other theoretical methods such as the analysis and synthesis of the literature referring to the subject, as well as the structured interview technique, the interview guide, the field journal instrument and the method statistic allowed to respond to the objective of this investigation. Through the interview applied to patients, it was learned that the rehabilitation generated by the family helps patients reduce their dependence on the people in charge of their care and improve their physical capacity.
