Efectividad de la acupuntura en el tratamiento de la sacrolumbalgia

    Se realizó un estudio descriptivo con el objetivo de determinar la eficacia del tratamiento con acupuntura en pacientes con sacrolumbalgia atendidos en la consulta de Medicina Natural y Tradicional de la Sala de Rehabilitación Integral del Policlínico Victoria de Girón Guáimaro, en el período comprendido de octubre del 2016a junio del 2018.El universo fueron142 pacientes consacrolumbalgia aguda que recibieron tratamiento acupuntural y la muestra la conformaron 99que fueron seleccionados por muestreo no probabilístico. La información se obtuvo por la hoja de cargo, la boleta de tratamiento y el registro de alta de ingreso, en la cual se recogió: nombre, edad, sexo, ocupación, diagnóstico y tratamiento, además de la entrevista y el formulario. La información se procesó de forma computarizada y se presentó en texto y tablas. Se encontró que de los pacientes que se diagnosticaron con sacrolumbalgia que recibieron tratamiento con acupuntura predominó el grupo etario entre 50-59 años, el sexo femenino y ocupación trabajadores. Durante las entrevistas obtuvimos que antes de comenzar el tratamiento la mayoría de los pacientes presentaban dolor máximo, y con el tratamiento acupuntural tuvieron mejoría completa de los síntomas, en 5-6 secciones calificándolo como efectivo en la sacrolumbalgia.
