The intervention focused on the inside of San Bartolomé chapel, which stood on the site prior to the chapel that is there today, in a section of the garden along its western wall. Although the levels of use pertaining to phases predating the chapel seem to have been destroyed by the contemporary building work (first half of the 19th century), the structure uncovered, funerary evidence documented and some of the material recovered provide evidence of some interesting aspects of the historical-construction evolution of the chapel, the origins of which are rooted in the High Middle Ages
