Resumen de Migración al Chile neoliberal: ciudadanía, arraigo y autonomía

  El creciente flujo inmigratorio hacia Chile y las condiciones de asentamiento, han puesto en relieve la tensión existente entre identidad, movilidad, fronteras y nacionalidad en el marco de un Estado neoliberal de normativa migratoria anticuada. El presente artículo tiene por objetivo señalar las fisuras e inconsistencias entre el discurso oficial sobre un país exitoso y próspero, y la verdadera experiencia de vivir en Chile. A partir de investigación etnográfica y etnológica, la evidencia muestra que migrar hacia Chile puede volverse un ejercicio de creatividad entre la autonomía y la esperanza, hecho que plantea la necesidad de actualizar la composición de un modelo identitario que se presenta sostenido en una normalidad aparente. Concluimos que Chile es una construcción bastante más heterogénea hoy, y se revela la importancia de la revisión de los discursos en circulación para actualizar la identidad de la diversidad sociocultural en la sociedad chilena en posteriores etapas.

  The growing flow of immigration to Chile and the conditions of settlement have highlighted the existing tension between identity, mobility, borders and nationality within the framework of a neoliberal State with outdated immigration regulations. This article aims to point out the fissures and inconsistencies between the official discourse about a successful and prosperous country, and the true experience of living in Chile. Based on ethnographic and ethnological research, the evidence shows that migrating to Chile can become an exercise in creativity between autonomy and hope, a fact that raises the need to update the composition of an identity model that is sustained in an apparent normality. We conclude that Chile is a much more heterogeneous construction today, and the importance of reviewing the discourses in circulation is revealed to update the identity of sociocultural diversity in Chilean society in later stages.
