    Abordamos la dudosa lectura que Fray Antonio de Guevara hizo de Aulo Gelio desde el análisis de las referencias explícitas a este autor. Al margen de que Gelio sea una fuente para Guevara, queremos plantear las relaciones inter- textuales e interdiscursivas entre ambos. De esta forma, se analiza la correlación entre los textos de Guevara donde aparecen referencias al autor latino y los pro- pios textos de Gelio. Nuestro propósito es determinar los diferentes grados de tal correlación, desde aquellos que son compatibles con una posible lectura hasta las atribuciones ficticias.

    Our approach focuses on the doubtful reading of Aulus Gellius carried out by Fray Antonio de Guevara from the analysis of his explicit references.

    Apart from Gellius being a Guevara’s source, our aim is to establish their intertextual and interdiscursive relationships. Therefore, it comes to analyze the correlation between Guevara’s texts where there are references to the Latin author and the Gellius’s texts themselves. Our purpose is to define the different degrees of such a correlation, from those compatible with probable readings to the spurious or doubtful attributions.
