Resumen de Nueva Ley Orgánica de protección de los adultos mayores y la vulnerabilidad de sus derechos

  Las personas adultas mayores son reconocidas en la Constitución Ecuatoriana como parte de los grupos de atención prioritaria. El artículo 35, les garantiza la "atención prioritaria y especializada en los ámbitos público y privado". Es importante conocer las necesidades de este grupo social y buscar la progresividad de sus derechos no solo enfocándose en la seguridad social si no garantizando la estabilidad y protección del adulto mayor, hace muchos años atrás a este grupo se le vulneraban sus derechos y no tenían una vida digna; entre la que se destaca su alimentación , vivienda, salud, situación económica y emocional, es así que por quebrantar todos estos aspectos se estaría excluyendo a este grupo humano significativo de la sociedad como son los adultos mayores, dicho artículo fue realizado con una metodología descriptivo-exploratorio con un enfoque cuali-cuantitativo bibliográfico y estadístico implicando técnicas como la encuesta a los adultos mayores y la entrevista a la Trabajadora Social de la fundación, los instrumentos a utilizados fueron la guía de observación y la guía de entrevista la cual permitió responder al objetivo de esta investigación; analizar la Nueva Ley Orgánica de protección de las personas mayores y la vulnerabilidad de sus derechos en la fundación “PASO A PASO”. Es relevante mencionar que las personas adultas mayores son vulnerables ante cualquier situación que perturbe el buen vivir, este grupo vulnerable debe tener un trato y una vida digna con un desarrollo integral optimo, mitigando la exclusión y defendiendo sus principales derechos los mismo que se encuentran establecidos en la nueva Ley Orgánica del adulto mayor y en la constitución del Ecuador vigente.

  Older adults are recognized in the Ecuadorian Constitution as part of the priority care groups. Article 35 guarantees them "priority and specialized attention in the public and private spheres". It is important to know the needs of this social group and seek the progressivity of their rights not only focusing on social security but also guaranteeing the stability and protection of the elderly, many years ago this group was violated their rights and did not have a dignified life; Among which stands out their food, housing, health, economic and emotional situation, it is so that to break all these aspects would be excluding this significant human group in society as are the elderly, said article was made with a descriptive methodology -exploratory with a qualitative-quantitative bibliographic and statistical approach involving techniques such as the survey of the elderly and the interview with the Social Worker of the foundation, the instruments used were the observation guide and the questionnaire which allowed responding to the objective of this investigation; analyze the New Organic Law for the protection of the elderly and the vulnerability of their rights in the foundation "STEP BY STEP". It is relevant to mention that older adults are vulnerable to any situation that disturbs the good life, this vulnerable group must have a dignified treatment and life with an optimal integral development, mitigating exclusion and defending their main rights the same that are established in the new Organic Law of the elderly and in the constitution of Ecuador in force.
