    Hoy día, los organizadores gráficos se han convertido en un aliado para la labor docente, al facilitar el despliegue de las funciones psicológicas como parte de la gestión del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. A razón de este ello se desarrolla el presente estudio con el propósito de describir los organizadores gráficos que coadyuvan al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y la metacognición. Cabe destacar que la investigación se caracterizó por ser un estudio descriptivo de tipo documental-bibliográfico. Con los resultados, se puede enunciar que los organizadores gráficos, son de gran importancia y utilidad pedagógica-didáctica, en el sentido de que aparte de facilitar la dinámica del aula, permiten consolidad hábitos de estudio y, en consecuencia, desarrollar un pensamiento crítico y brindar un efecto metacognitivo, posibilitando que los estudiantes puedan percibir las formas que tienen de aprender.

    Nowadays, graphic organizers have become an ally for the teaching work, by facilitating the deployment of psychological functions as part of the management of the teaching and learning process. For this reason, the present study is developed with the purpose of describing the graphic organizers that contribute to the development of critical thinking and metacognition. It should be noted that the research was characterized as a descriptive documentary-bibliographic study. With the results, it can be stated that graphic organizers are of great pedagogical-educational importance and usefulness, in the sense that besides facilitating classroom dynamics, they allow consolidating study habits and, consequently, developing critical thinking and providing a metacognitive effect, making it possible for students to perceive the ways they learn.
