En este artículo se presenta una radiografía sobre el conocimiento científico producido sobre el proceso chilenizador en la ex–región peruana de Tarapacá, durante los primeros cincuenta años de administración chilena en la jurisdicción conquistada. Se muestran las diversas perspectivas que han abordado dicho tema y se termina con un balance sobre las falencias y fortalezas que el conocimiento científico generado entrega referente al proceso chilenizador en Tarapacá

In this article, he presents an x-ray on the scientific knowledge produced on the Chileanization process in the former Peruvian region of Tarapacá, during the first fifty years of Chilean administration in the conquered jurisdiction. The various perspectives that have addressed this issue are shown and concludes with a balance on the shortcomings and strengths that the generated scientific knowledge delivers regarding the Chileanization process in Tarapacá.
