Due to the rise of the presence of radical right parties in the political spectrum, this work focuses on knowing the characteristic elements around which the parties of the «Radical Right» are structured and what has been their electoral behavior both at the level of the European Union (EU) and in Spain in recent years. To this end, we have carried out a bibliographic review, at a theoretical level, and a scrutiny of the electoral results of the parties of the radical right by consulting the databases of the European Parliament, the Ministry of the Interior and the Autonomous Communities. The main conclusions we reach are that, in fact, there has been a significant increase in the presence of this type of party both in the EU and in Spain and that their main ideological assets are ultranationalism and a strong opposition to immigration, which leads them to xenophobic, racist and discriminatory positions (not only against foreigners but also against women and LGTBIQ + groups).
