Resumen de Causalidad, necesidad y determinismo en la concepción tenseless del tiempo: La incompatibilidad con el indeterminismo y la libertad

La concepción tenseless del tiempo es acusada de determinismo. Por un lado, se argumenta que no es posible defenderla de esta crítica y que no puede compatibilizarse con el indeterminismo ni la libertad, ya que estos implican que existen sucesos que no dependen del flujo causal, de manera que no tendría sentido hablar de una línea en la que estuvieran contenidos los sucesos que, de acuerdo a ese flujo, serán. Por otro lado, se cuestiona que esta incompatibilidad invalide la concepción tenseless del tiempo, ya que podrían ser esas dos ideas las que quizá tendríamos que comprender de manera diferente.

The tenseless time concept is said to involve determinism. It is argued that defending this idea against the criticism of determinism is not possible, and it is not compatible with physical indeterminism and neither with human freedom, since those ideas involve that there are kinds of events wich do not depend on the causal flux, so that speaking about a line which would contain the events that, according to that flux, will be. Otherwise, we question that this incompatibility invalids the tenseless image of time, because maybe are this ideas which we should try to understand in a different way.
