    La principal idea de nuestra investigación es realizar una aproximación a Palestina en la Edad Media combinando enfoques de la historia local y la microhistoria. Para ello, nuestro trabajo se centra en la milenaria ciudad de Al Jalīl/Hebrón, una ciudad de simbología pareja a Jerusalén, por ser la cuna de Abraham, el padre de las tres religiones monoteístas del Mediterráneo, venerada en la época analizada tanto por judíos y cristianos como por los musulmanes. En el contexto local de Hebrón, delimitaríamos más el alcance de estudio al focalizarnos en el núcleo histórico y religioso de la ciudad, que es el recinto sagrado de la Tumba de los Patriarcas y Matriarcas. Así, revisaremos también, como contexto “nacional” y la historia general de Palestina en el mismo periodo de la Edad Media

    The main idea of our research is to make an approach to Palestine in the Middle Ages combining approaches of local history and microhistory. To this end, our work focuses on the millenary city of Al Jalīl/Hebron, a city of symbolism even with Jerusalem, for being the cradle Abraham, the father of the three monotheistic religions of the Mediterranean, venerated in the delimited era by Jews and Christians as well as by Muslims. In the local context of Hebron, we would further delimit the scope of study by focusing on the historical and religious core of the city, which is the sacred precinct of the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs.
