Several Hellenistic civic weights issued by Heraclea-by-the-Sea, Laodicea-by-the-Sea, and Demetrias-by-the-Sea, three coastal cities in Northern Syria, are published or reconsidered, thanks to archival documents, in particular those elaborated by Henri Seyrig (1895-1973) and now preserved at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) in Paris. This helps to reassess the question of the exact location of Heraclea and Demetrias.
