Hay casos en los que en las fases iniciales del tratamiento tenemos que usar arcos ligeros, de nitinol o trenzados de acero, para alinear algunos dientes aislados. Como los arcos se ven sometidos a las fuerzas de la masticación en sus tramos libres, con frecuencia sus extremos se salen de los tubos de molares creando molestias y obligando a visitas de urgencia. No es fácil doblar estos arcos por distal de manera retentiva y que no produzca molestias.

There are cases in which in the initial phases of the treatment we have to use light arches, made of nitinol or steel braids, to align some isolated teeth. As the arches are subjected to the forces of chewing in their free sections, their ends frequently come out of the molar tubes creating discomfort and requiring emergency visits. It is not easy to bend these arches distally in a retentive and non-discomfortable manner.
