Resumen de Gobernar la vida. Hacia una concepción no económica de la verdad

El presente artículo se propone arrojar una nueva luz sobre la problemática biopolítica, haciendo especial énfasis en el rol de la verdad en el gobierno de la vida. Para ello intentará, en primer lugar, señalar la manera en que, en el marco de la racionalidad de gobierno neoliberal, la vida es gobernada en tanto forma de vida. Luego, y a contramano de las lecturas discontinuistas de la obra de Foucault, buscará mostrar que si bien este no aborda de modo explícito la cuestión del liberalismo y el neoliberalismo, la problemática de la verdad que dicha cuestión suscitó estructurará buena parte de sus últimos cursos en torno a la manifestación de la verdad (aleturgia). Esto dará lugar a una reflexión acerca del carácter “inútil” de la verdad como antesala para la elucidación de una manifestación en la forma de la subjetividad de una verdad otra que no sea la verdad del poder.

The aim of the present article is to shed light on the biopolitical problematic by highlighting the role of truth in the government of life. In order to do this, we will begin by emphasizing the way in which within the framework of neoliberal governmentality life is governed as a form of life. Then, against some interpretations that focus on the discontinuities in Foucault’s work, we will attempt to explain how, even though Foucault will no longer explicitly address the matter of liberalism and neoliberalism, the problem of truth inspired by these reflections will structure and define his following lectures on a manifestation of the truth in the form of subjectivity (alethurgy). This will give place to a thorough analysis on the “useless” character of truth as the condition for the elucidation of a manifestation in the form of subjectivity of a truth that is no longer the truth of power.
