    The present essay is conceived as a comprehensive catalogue of the Φ and Δ interpolated manuscripts of the Institutiones humanarum litterarum. It is designed as a complementary tool to the new critical edition and commentary on Cassiodorus’ work, recently published in the series Corpus Christianorum Series Latina (CC SL 99a) and Instrumenta Patristica et Mediaevalia (IPM 88). Among complete and partial witnesses, the catalogue lists twelve Φ manuscripts and twenty-three Δ manuscripts, mostly copied in relevant scriptoria of the Carolingian Empire during the 9th and the 10th centuries. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the manuscripts’ content, in order to outline an exhaustive picture not only of the circulation of Cassiodorus’ Institutiones in their interpolated forms, but also of the cultural projects that involved them between the mid-8th century and the Renaissance.

    Il contributo si propone come un catalogo dei manoscritti interpolati Φ e Δ delle Institutiones humanarum litterarum, complementare rispetto all’edizione critica e al commento delle stesse redazioni dell’opera cassiodorea recentemente pubblicati da Brepols Publishers per le collane Corpus Christianorum Series Latina (CC SL 99a) e Instituta Patristica et Mediaevalia (IPM 88). Tra testimoni completi e parziali si censiscono in totale dodici manoscritti Φ e ventitré manoscritti Δ, in larga maggioranza copiati in centri scrittorii di area carolingia nei secoli ix e x. L’attenzione è posta in primo luogo sull’analisi contenutistica dei testimoni, allo scopo di approfondire l’indagine sulla circolazione delle Institutiones in forma interpolata e sugli interessi di cui sono state oggetto tra le prime attestazioni dell’opera (sec. viii med.) e l’età umanistica.
