    El siguiente artículo comienza con la referencia de Lacan a Saussure en el Seminario de La identificación. En ella, Lacan pretende fundamentar una distinción teórica entre el signo y el significante, de lo cual espera confirmación a través de la lectura del Curso. El segundo apartado consiste en analizar brevemente la referencia al signo de Saussure, para luego volver sobre la distinción teórica. La hipótesis corresponde a una lectura tendenciosa de Lacan en torno a Saussure dentro del Seminario en cuestión. Finalmente se agrega una posible objeción a la hipótesis propuesta.

    The following article begins with Lacan's reference to Saussure in the Seminar on Identification. In this seminar, Lacan intends to support a theoretical distinction between the sign and the signifier, of which he expects confirmation through the reading of the Course. The second section consists of briefly analysing Saussure's reference to the sign, and then returning to the theoretical distinction. The hypothesis corresponds to Lacan's tendentious reading of Saussure in the Seminar in question. Finally, a possible objection to the proposed hypothesis is added
