El quiste óseo aneurismático es una lesión ósea benigna que se presenta a edades tempranas. Afecta más a la medular de la metáfisis de los huesos largos. Su comportamiento suele ser agresivo, por lo que la intervención a realizar no se debe demorar.
Los síntomas más frecuentes en huesos largos son el dolor y la tumefacción local.
El diagnóstico está basado en sus características radiográficas. La anatomía patológica lo confirmará tras la técnica realizada en su tratamiento: embolización mediante depósito intralesional de una mezcla viscosa, cuyos ingredientes activos son alcohol y una proteína vegetal.
El tratamiento quirúrgico se deja para quistes de tamaño más grande o para recidivas.
Presentamos el caso de una paciente de 24 años de edad, con masa de crecimiento progresivo y deformante en el codo derecho. Por las características de los estudios de imagen y el cuadro sintomático se diagnosticó como quiste óseo aneurismático. Fue tratado con administración y posterior aspiración de alcohol absoluto, previa inyección de contraste yodado para confirmar la ausencia de extravasación a partes blandas.

The aneurysmal bone cyst is a benign bone lesion that occurs at an early age, affecting more the medullary of the metaphysis of the long bones. Their behavior is usually aggressive, therefore, the intervention to be carried out should not be delayed.
The most frequent symptoms in long bones are pain and local swelling.
The diagnosis is based on its radiographic characteristics and the pathological anatomy will confirm it after the technique that we perform in its treatment, passing this good through embolization, the intralesional deposit of a viscous mixture, the active ingredients of which are alcohol and a vegetable protein.
The surgical treatment is left for cysts of larger size or for recurrences.
We present the case of a 24-year-old patient, with a mass of progressive and deforming growth in the right elbow. Due to the characteristics of the imaging examinations and the symptomatic picture, was diagnosed as an aneurysmal bone cyst. It was treated with administration and subsequent aspiration of absolute alcohol, after injection of iodinated contrast to confirm the absence of extravasation to soft tissues.
