Resumen de Proposal for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant to improve the water quality of the Latacunga - Salcedo - Ambato irrigation canal

  The work presented below studies the negative influence that sewage has on water resources that are directly or indirectly used for human consumption, in this case for agriculture. For this purpose, a count was made of the people who contaminate the water within the community and by means of physical-chemical and bacteriological analysis it was determined that the sewage alters the quality of the water of the Latacunga - Salcedo - Ambato Irrigation Canal. Of course, an alternative solution to the problem is proposed and in order to eradicate this conflict, a Sanitary Sewage Network with its respective Treatment Plant has been designed based strictly on the topography and current construction and design standards.

  El trabajo que se presenta a continuación estudia la influencia negativa que las aguas servidas tienen sobre el recurso hídrico que directa o indirectamente se destinan para el consumo humano, en este caso para la agricultura. Para ello, se realizó un conteo de las personas que contaminan el agua dentro de la comunidad y por medio de análisis Físicos-Químicos y Bacteriológicos se determinó que las aguas servidas alteran la calidad de las aguas del Canal de Riego Latacunga - Salcedo - Ambato. Por supuesto que al problema se le propone una alternativa de solución y para erradicar este conflicto se ha diseñado una Red de Alcantarillado Sanitario con su respectiva Planta de Tratamiento basándose estrictamente en la topografía y normas vigentes de construcción y diseño.
