    El objetivo del presente artículo es hacer un estudio desde el punto de vista lexicológico de las voces americanas que aparecen en las letras de las canciones de la cantante argentina, Mercedes Sosa. Fue una cantante folk y de canciones de protesta que rendía homenaje al espíritu indígena latinoamericano, al mismo tiempo que apuntaba hacia la triste situación de los aborígenes desde los tiempos de la colonización hasta el siglo XX, por lo que se convirtió en la portavoz del pueblo indígena latinoamericano. El presente artículo examina, a través del método de análisis de texto, qué tipo de voces americanas aparecen en su música, el origen de estas voces y su significado. Se estudian los topónimos y los antropónimos. Finalmente, las voces americanas se agrupan según las lenguas indígenas de las que proceden y, en relación con la historia de Latinoamérica, se incluyen también las voces de procedencia africana

    The aim of this article is to make a lexicological study of the American voices that appear in the lyrics of the Argentinian singer Mercedes Sosa. She was a folk and protest singer who paid homage to the Latin American indigenous spirit, while at the same time pointing to the sad situation of the aborigines from the time of colonisation until the 20thcentury, and thus became the spokesperson of the Latin American indigenous people. This article examines, through the method of text analysis, what kind of American voices appear in her music, the origin of these voices and their meaning. Toponyms and anthroponyms are studied. Finally, the American voices are grouped according to the indigenous languages from which they originate and, in relation to the history of Latin America, the voices of African origin are also included
