Resumen de La Satisfacción de los Estudiantes: un Reto en la Formación Integral Universitaria

  La satisfacción de los estudiantes universitarios es un reto dinámico que cada día requiere el uso de herramientas de aprendizajes al interior del aula y la integración de los servicios complementarios. Se planteó analizar la percepción de satisfacción de los estudiantes de la carrera de Enfermería y su permanencia en la institución. El estudio fue cuantitativo, transversal y descriptivo. Como instrumento de recolección de datos se utilizó la encuesta con preguntas dicotómicas y abiertas a 330 estudiantes de primero a séptimo nivel (88% mujeres, 10% hombres y 2% LGTB) de la carrera de Enfermería de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, Sede Esmeraldas, en el año 2020. Los resultados encontrados demuestran que el 45% considera que no es fácil el proceso de matricula; sobre las condiciones de los espacios de aprendizaje, como los laboratorios, el 61,8% está muy satisfecho y satisfecho; en el uso de la biblioteca, el 44% siente satisfacción. Acerca de la metodología empleada por los docentes, el 64,1% muy satisfecho y satisfecho y el 32% es probable que continúe los estudios en el próximo período. Se concluye que el nivel de satisfacción de los estudiantes con relación a los servicios de la cafetería, espacios recreativos – deportivos y biblioteca es bajo, a diferencia de la metodología empleada por los docentes y los espacios de aprendizajes en los laboratorios que recibieron alta valoración en cuanto a satisfacción.

  The satisfaction of university students is a dynamic challenge that requires using learning tools within the classroom and integrating complementary services. It was proposed to analyze the needs of the students to institute the best conditions for comprehensive training. The study was quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive. As a data collection instrument, the survey with dichotomous and open questions was used for 330 students from first to seventh level (88% women, 10% men, and 2% LGTB) of the Nursing career of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador Esmeraldas campus, in the year 2020. The results found show that 45% consider that the enrollment process is not easy. Regarding the conditions of the learning spaces, such as laboratories, 61.8% are very satisfied and satisfied; in the use of the library, 44% feel satisfied. With respect to the methodology used by teachers, 64.1% were very satisfied and satisfied and 32% are likely to continue their studies in the next period. It is concluded that the level of satisfaction of the students in relation to the services of the cafeteria, recreational spaces - sports and library, is low, unlike the methodology used by the teachers and the learning spaces in the laboratories that received high valuation in terms of satisfaction.
