  This article addresses the issue of childhood obesity and its possible influence on the student's participation in the obese physical education classes. The student focus of the case study are male, 9 years old and studying in the 5th year of elementary education at a private institution of Padre Miguel, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, where was investigated by Amanda Feital Silva, student, Universidade Castelo Branco Travel Degree in Physical Education.

  Este artigo trata da questão da obesidade infantil e suas possíveis influências na participação do aluno obeso nas aulas de Educação Física. O aluno foco do estudo de caso é do sexo masculino, 9 anos e estuda no 5º ano do ensino fundamental de uma instituição particular de Padre Miguel, Rio de Janeiro - RJ onde foi investigado por Amanda Feital Silva, discente da Universidade Castelo Branco do curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física.
