    La reciente restauración de dos mazas ceremoniales de plata que formaron parte del ajuar institucional de La Habana colonial, ha motivado que se lleven a cabo distintos estudios dirigidos a ampliar el conocimiento de las piezas desde otras perspectivas. En este texto se ha vertido la información hallada en diferentes documentos consultados, cuyos datos han permitido reconstruir algunos momentos de su trayectoria histórica, así como los motivos por los que se hicieron y la función para la que fueron demandadas. Asimismo, se han podido relacionar con los personajes políticos involucrados en su fabricación y determinar los vínculos que mantuvieron con los orfebres que las elaboraron.

    The recent restoration of two silver ceremonial maces that were part of the institutional trousseau of colonial Havana, has motivated different studies to be carried out aimed at broadening the knowledge of the pieces from other perspectives. In this text, the information found in different consulted documents has been poured, whose data have allowed reconstructing some moments of its historical trajectory, as well as the reasons why they were made and the function for which they were demanded. Likewise, they have been able to relate to the political figures involved in their manufacture and determine the links they had with the goldsmiths who made them.
