Resumen de Finlandia: actuaciones y posibilidades ante la amenaza rusa

  Finlandia ha cambiado su política de neutralidad y ha solicitado su adhesión a la OTAN.

  ¿Por qué decide ahora romper su neutralidad con Rusia y solicitar dicho ingreso?, para dar respuesta a dicho interrogante, se lleva a cabo un análisis prospectivo de la historia finlandesa y se estudia la opinión de los finlandeses a lo largo de un periodo amplio de tiempo. Los resultados revelan que el cambio de opinión se debe, por una parte, a la reducción de factores protectores como son el deseo de neutralidad y el pasado común, y por otra, a un aumento de la apreciación de amenaza ligada a la intervención militar en suelo europeo, así el Gobierno finlandés percibe como única medida válida para incrementar la sensación de seguridad el ingreso en la OTAN. Todo ello enmarcado dentro del objetivo geopolítico de EE. UU. de cerco a Rusia.

  Finland has changed its policy of neutrality and has applied to join NATO. Why does it now decide to break its neutrality with Russia and request said admission? To answer this question, a prospective analysis of Finnish history is carried out and the opinion of the Finns is studied throughout an extended period of time. The results reveal that the change of opinion is due, on the one hand, to the reduction of protective factors such as the desire for neutrality and the common past. Together with an increase in the perception of threat linked to military intervention on European soil, the Finnish Government perceives joining NATO as the only measure to increase the perception of security. All of this is framed within the US geopolitical objective of encircling Russia.
