    España y Estados Unidos han publicado sus Estrategias Nacionales de Seguridad en 2021 y 2022 respectivamente, con un intervalo de menos de un año. Ambas, consideradas oportunas y muy necesarias por los especiales desafíos a los que se enfrentan los sistemas de seguridad nacionales. La comparación de ambos documentos nos muestra que, a pesar de la diferente tradición narrativa de este tipo de documento y el peso, tanto en la esfera internacional como las características nacionales de ambos países, sus visiones muestran grandes coincidencias. La estructura es quizás el aspecto más, llamativamente diferente, pero su visión global, nacional y transformadora resaltan un análisis muy similar de las características sistémicas y estructurales del modelo estratégico. La regionalización del mundo, la necesidad de un poder normativo más inclusivo, el compromiso y resiliencia de la ciudadanía, y la autonomía estratégica junto a la cooperación y coordinación entre socios leales, son elementos que ambos documentos resaltan como esenciales.

    Spain and the United States have published their National Security Strategies in 2021 and 2022 respectively, with an interval of less than one year. Both are considered timely and highly necessary due to the special challenges faced by national security systems.

    The comparison of both documents shows us that, despite the different narrative tradition of this type of document, and the weight, both in the international sphere and the national characteristics of both countries, their visions show great coincidences. The structure is perhaps the most strikingly different aspect, but its global, national and transformative vision highlight a very similar analysis of the systemic and structural characteristics of the strategic model. The regionalization of the world, the need for a more inclusive normative power, the commitment and resilience of citizens, and strategic autonomy in the face of cooperation and coordination between loyal partners, are elements that both documents highlight as essential.
