Rutinas, Conductas y Ansiedad en la Infancia durante la Pandemia por COVID-19: Un Estudio Transcultural

    El objetivo de este estudio fue describir y comparar las rutinas y conductas en una muestra de menores de tres países durante la cuarentena obligatoria de la pandemia del COVID-19 y analizar su relación con la ansiedad. Participaron 335 menores de España, Argentina y Estados Unidos, con edades entre 3 y 7 años. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la Escala de Rutinas y Conductas (ERC) y la Escala de Ansiedad Preescolar (PAS). Utilizando un muestreo por redes mediante cuestionarios online en español e inglés, los resultados mostraron diferencias en las rutinas y conductas en los participantes de países bajo confinamiento, así como puntuaciones más elevadas en ansiedad. Las repercusiones negativas del confinamiento puedenafectar al bienestar infantil. Los estudios transculturales pueden ayudar la detección de síntomas psicopatológicos y promover los programas de prevención e intervención

    The aim of this study was to describe and compare routines and behaviorsin a sample of children from three countries during the mandatory quarantine of the COVID-19 pandemic and to analyze their connections to anxiety. A total of 335 children aged 3 to 7 years from Spain, Argentina and the United Statesparticipated in the study. The instruments used were the Routine and Behavior Scale (RBS) and the Preschool Anxiety Scale (PAS). Using network sampling throughonline questionnaires in Spanish and English, the results showed differences in routines and behaviorspatternsin participants from countries under confinement, as well ashigher anxietyscores. The negative repercussions of confinement may affect a child’s welfare. It is therefore necessary to carry out cross-cultural studies in order to enable the early detection of psychopathological symptoms and promote prevention and intervention programs.
