    Historical narratives are essential elements in the processes of constitution of the political communities, that is why they are the object of conflicts opposing groups that dispute political power. In recent years, conflicts around Brazil's recent history have become particularly fierce, thanks to the “rightist turn” and the emergence of bolsonarism. The main purpose of this article is to analyze the initiatives of authoritarian right-wing groups (especially, but not only bolsonarists) to dominate the history of the military dictatorship, which has become a strategic goal in their cultural war in the search for political hegemony. At the end of the article, we analyze how this process implies some challenges also for the epistemology of history.

    Narrativas sobre a história são elementos essenciais nos processos de constituição das comunidades políticas, por isso mesmo elas são objeto de conflito entre os grupos que disputam o poder político. Nos últimos anos, os conflitos em torno da história recente do Brasil tornaram-se particularmente acirrados, graças ao giro à direita e à emergência do bolsonarismo. O propósito principal deste artigo é analisar as iniciativas dos grupos de direita autoritária (especialmente, mas não apenas os bolsonaristas) para dominar a história da ditadura militar, o que se tornou um objetivo estratégico em sua guerra cultural na busca por hegemonia política. No final do artigo, analisa-se como esse processo implica alguns desafios também para as reflexões sobre a epistemologia da História.
