Leopoldo Zea: el pensamiento utópico bolivariano

    La lucha por la emancipación de los pueblos de América Latina y el Caribe, fue una empresa de gran trascendencia histórica, que ha llegado a formar parte de los elementos que definen la identidad cultural latinoamericana. Se trata de procesos complejos, que involucraron aspectos políticos, militares, estratégicos, económicos y filosóficos, que conducían a la realización del ser americano. La construcción de esta utopía de identidad cultural y de integración de los pueblos, estuvo presidida por el Libertador, Simón Bolívar, que, bajo las influencias del pensamiento ilustrado y de los ideales de la Revolución Francesa, concibió una sociedad más justa y más humana, libre de la opresión del poder colonial. La faceta filosófica de Bolívar, ha sido poco explorada;

    sin embargo, el pensamiento del maestro mexicano, Leopoldo Zea, encuentra un espacio para esta tarea.

    The struggle for the emancipation of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean was an undertaking of great historical significance, which has become part of the elements that define Latin American cultural identity. These are complex processes, which involved political, military, strategic, economic and philosophical aspects, which led to the realization of being an American.

    The construction of this utopia of cultural identity and integration of peoples was presided over by the Liberator, Simón Bolívar, who, under the influence of enlightened thought and the ideals of the French Revolution, conceived a more just and humane society, free from the oppression of colonial power. Bolívar's philosophical facet has been little explored; however, the thought of the Mexican teacher, Leopoldo Zea, finds a space for this task.
