Resumen de La danza de enanos en el siglo XX: Visiones, alteraciones y transformaciones

  Se proporciona un análisis acerca de un conjunto de aspectos que han configurado la Danza de Enanos contemporánea. Se parte del comentario de algunas noticias históricas y la mención de varias danzas de imaginería festiva. A continuación, se examinan las biografías de los renovadores del número así como los distintos autores de la actual puesta en escena. En tercer lugar, se describen las representaciones llevadas a cabo fuera del marco lustral. Por último, se explora una serie de cuestiones generales entre las que destaca el excesivo protagonismo alcanzado en los últimos lustros por los integrantes de la danza. Se concluye en subrayar la originalidad y los cuidados que requiere el número.

  An analysis is provided about a set of aspects that have shaped the contemporary Dance of the Dwarves. It is based on the commentary of some historical news and the mention of various dances of festive imagery. Next, the biographies of the renewers of the number are examined, as well as the different authors of the current staging. Thirdly, the representations carried out outside the lustral framework are described. Finally, a series of general issues are explored, among which the excessive prominence achieved in the last decades by the members of the dance stands out. It concludes by underlining the originality and care that the number requires.
