Resumen de La importancia del "buen casar": Un acercamiento a la política matrimonial de las camaristas de Palacio en tiempos de Carlos III

  El presente trabajo pretende dar a conocer la política matrimonial de las camaristas de Palacio que casaron durante el reinado de Carlos III (1759-1788). Estas jóvenes solteras de condición noble formaban parte del círculo femenino palatino y sus puestos cortesanos les granjearon multitud de posibilidades y oportunidades. Entre ellas la de desposar a un contrayente de renombre. Partiendo de este conjunto pretendemos analizar, por un lado, el perfil de las camaristas que tomaron estado y el de sus futuros maridos. El estudio prosopográfico de esta cuestión, así como la utilización de casos particulares de la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, posibilitará atender a otras cuestiones tales como sus contextos familiares o las redes clientelares en las que se insertaban. Todo ello será posible a través del análisis y valoración de los fondos documentales conservados en los archivos nacionales, y particularmente en el Archivo General de Palacio.

  This paper aims to shed light on the marriage policy of the chambermaids of the Palace who married during the reign of Charles III (1759-1788). These young unmarried women of noble status formed part of the female circle of the palace and their courtly positions afforded them a multitude of possibilities and opportunities. Among them was the chance to marry a renowned bride. On the basis of this group, we intend to analyse, on the one hand, the profile of the chambermaids who took state and that of their future husbands. The prosopographical study of this issue, as well as the use of particular cases from the second half of the eighteenth century, will make it possible to address other questions such as their family contexts or the clientele networks in which they were inserted. All this will be possible through the analysis and evaluation of the documentary collections preserved in the national archives, and particularly in the General Palace Archive.
