Resumen de La cristiandad de pariacaca: pedagogía y sincretismo en el Manuscrito de Huarochirí

Las narraciones sobre el huaca Pariacaca en el Manuscrito de Huarochirí llevan implícitas algunas reflexiones éticas que dan cuenta del talante filosófico indígena. Debido a que la racionalidad ancestral no establecía una separación tajante entre razón y narrativa, el “desocultamiento” de la ética indígena en estos relatos demanda una lectura hermenéutica. Sin embargo, reconociendo que la recopilación del Manuscrito implicó una transformación narrativa bajo la presión del clero católico, no podemos tomar estas reflexiones como si fuesen ajenas a la influencia bíblica. Por lo tanto, parece más conveniente entenderlas como un intento discursivo, por parte del escritor indígena del Manuscrito y del resto de pobladores de la región, de alcanzar una nueva versión de los relatos que les permitiera expresar las múltiples herencias culturales que empezaban a reconfigurar sus imaginarios identitarios.

The narratives about the huaca Pariacaca in the Huarochirí Manuscript implicitly carry some ethical reflections that reflect the Indigenous philosophical mood. Since ancestral rationality did not establish a clear separation between reason and narrative, the “uncovering” of Indigenous ethics in these stories demands a hermeneutic reading. However, recognizing that the compilation of the Manuscript implied a narrative transformation under the pressure of the Catholic clergy, we cannot take these reflections as being alien to biblical influence. Therefore, it seems more convenient to understand them as a discursive attempt, on the part of theIndigenous writer of the Manuscript and the rest of the settlers of the region, to reach a new version of the stories that would allow them to express the multiple cultural heritages that were beginning to reconfigure their identitarian imaginaries.
